The dodo is a bird native to Mauritius, which became extinct in the mid-1700s. In FFXIV you can get this mount from The Dodo Society for just one gil by talking to them at any of their natural habitats all around Eorzea.
The undisputed kings of both the land and sky, these majestic birds were once abundant throughout much of Earth. Today their numbers are dwindling as they face extinction in the wild due to hunting pressures. But now you can bring back this noble creature into your world with an adorable pet! The Dodo Mount ends up being one of my favorites mounts that I’ve ever seen in FFXIV.
The “ffxiv dodo mount drop rate” is a question that has been asked many times. The answer to this question is that the chance of getting the Dodo Mount in FFXIV is 1%.
The inconspicuous Dodo Mount may be earned from Platinum-haloed Sacks in Heaven-on-High, but seldom.
Because it employs a different leveling and advancement system, Heaven-on-High (HoH) is known to as a Deep Dungeon. It also includes 100 floors, which is a significant difference from the bulk of the game’s Dungeons.
Only the Platinum-haloed Sack may be found on HoH’s Floors 71-100. Those bags are buried much deeper, necessitating the employment of a Pomander of Intuition to identify and uncover them.
It’s conceivable that you’ll come upon one by chance. However, this necessitates remaining still at an unmarked location.
Even if it has an Achievement linked to it, don’t get your hopes up on that one.
Once you’ve located your Sacks, you must complete your current set of Floors and then flee. If you die, the treasure you’ve discovered will be gone, so be careful.
Finally, you’ll deliver your loot to the Confederate Appraiser (The Ruby Sea – Rasen Kaikyo, X:21 Y:9).

Unlocking the Door to Heaven-on-High
A little side-questing is required to get your chance at the elusive Dodo.
Your first task is to complete the Palace of the Dead’s 50th Floor from the previous Deep Dungeon.
After finishing the Main Scenario Quest “Into a Copper Hell,” the Palace of the Dead becomes unlocked.
To complete the chain, you must get “The House That Death Built” from Nojiro Marujiro (New Gridania – Carline Canopy, X:12 Y:13).
Put on your spelunking gear and talk with the Wood Wailer Expeditionary Captain (South Shroud – Quarrymill, X:25 Y:21) to get access to the Palace.
You’ll need to complete the level 63 Stormblood Scenario Quest “Tide Goes In, Imperials Go Out” once you’ve taken (or almost won) the Palace.

After everything is said and done, chatting with Hamakaze (The Ruby Sea – Isari, X:6 Y:12) will have you “Knocking on Heaven’s Door.”
Before you may enter the big tower, you must beat Hiruko on Floor 30.
Accept Kyusei’s last Quest “On the Shoulders of Giants” (The Ruby Sea – Rasen Kaikyo – Crick, X:21 Y:9) after that.
Now it’s up to you to show that the bird isn’t extinct.

A 100-story mythical tower would undoubtedly be brimming with treasure.
The Dodo Mount you’re hoping for is only one of many potential riches, so here’s a brief rundown of all the possibilities:

As you can see, the bags you dug out yielded a plethora of treasures.
Unfortunately, this makes your Dodo a little harder to find.
However, by just opening Platinum-haloed Sacks, you may increase your odds.
Aside from all the gold, HoH also provides a significant quantity of experience for every job from 61 to 69.
As a result, it’s an excellent technique to swiftly get some War or Magic Disciples up to speed.
Not only that, but if you conquer all 100 Floors of this Dungeon four times, you’ll be rewarded with an extra Mount: Juedi (shown above), which is a terrific reward for all your hard work in pursuing your Dodo.
The “ffxiv zu mount” is a rare mount that can be obtained in FFXIV. The dodo mount has been available since the game’s launch, but it was not until recently that players were able to acquire it.
