The Batman Official Trailer Shows off Gritty and Grounded Vision of the Dark Knight | DC FanDome

The new Batman, Ben Affleck’s Batman, is not the same as any other version of the character. He is more grounded and gritty than ever before seen in a live-action film.

The batman begins is the official trailer for the upcoming Batman film, which was released on January 18th. It shows off a gritty and grounded vision of the Dark Knight.

It’s been almost a year since the first trailer for The Batman was released. At the DC FanDome event, a dedicated 2-and-a-half-minute main trailer was unveiled with a plethora of other material (Flash and Black Adam information, for your viewing pleasure).

This trailer is jam-packed with story elements, and it has a strong feeling of reality and gritty realism throughout.

The video opens with someone bent over a Gotham diner counter, the GCPD and James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) arresting the mystery customer, and the camera pans up to show that the drink has a “?” carved in the foam, obviously revealing Paul Dano’s Riddler to the viewer.

Obviously, Pattinson is the star of this trailer, both as Bruce Wayne and beneath the cowl. “Fear is a tool,” says the author. It’s not simply a call when that light strikes the sky. As the Bat-Signal is projected high over Gotham, Batman adds, “It’s a warning.”

There are also big, character-specific moments in the trailer. Apart from the Bat, Zoe Kravitz’s Catwoman/Selina Kyle is a significant figure. She may be seen changing into and out of her costume and teasing Robert Pattison’s Batman. Interspersed with action set pieces and motorbike excursions, Kravitz adds, “I can take care of myself.” Colin Farrell, who plays both the renowned criminal lord and a guy on the receiving end of Bat-induced vehicular death, appears in numerous sequences, looking nothing like Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin. “If this continues, it won’t be long until you have nothing left,” Andy Serkis, who plays Alfred, warns Pattinson, who is fresh out of the suit. It’s all extremely atmospheric, and the cinematography, particularly the filter, is evocative of one man’s work, which caught IGN’s eye during their livestream of the event.

The teaser shows off some of Batman’s equipment in a lengthier rendition than the 2020s sequence of him beating up nameless thugs in whiteface. Using a Bat-Taser to stun one idiot? It’s not terrible, since the Caped Crusader will have to depend on his huge array of devices rather than the physical force that the Christian Bale version could use. This tale, according to filmmaker Matt Reeves, will not be another origin story, but rather the “Detective Version,” which has been grossly underused in cinema until this point.

Personally, I think it’s a grittier, more realistic perspective than Christopher Nolan’s famous trilogy. Everything seems to be on the up and up based on what we’ve seen so far. The performances look acceptable, and the voices aren’t silly or out of place, so everything appears to be in order. The official trailer now has over 3.8 million views and has received a resoundingly favorable response. The Batman is scheduled to reach cinemas on March 2, 2022, so those who are looking forward to it have only a few months to wait.
