Sony Scrambles to Block Spider-Man: No Way Home Trailer Leak with Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus

This week, Spider-Man: No Way Home leaked on the internet before its official release. Sony scrambled to get the trailer blocked with a copyright claim, but it was too late. The video went viral and Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus became a trending topic.

Spider-Man: No Way Home was supposed to be released in theaters on June 28th, but Sony scrambled to block the trailer leak with Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus.

For Spider-Man fans, last night was a pretty intriguing one. An early version of the teaser trailer for Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios’ upcoming Spider-Man film, Spider-Man: No Way Home, was leaked by an effects artist (who obviously didn’t care much for his work) or someone close to him.

Kevin Feige is said to be furious. While Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios seem to have had some success in removing the video off the internet in the last 24 hours, the film’s secrets are already out.

That would include Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus, who killed in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man sequel from 2004, which is considered one of the best superhero flicks ever made. The figure may be seen at the conclusion of the video in his iconic trenchcoat, according to Marvel fans who stumbled across the leaked clip.

Other leaks have surfaced, which seem to indicate that Spider-Man: No Way Home will certainly return some old enemies. In one picture circulating, Willem Dafoe and Jamie Foxx, who portrayed Green Goblin and Electro in Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2, respectively, may be seen.

Another leak purports to reveal the Green Goblin and Electro’s final designs. Theoretically, Marvel fans will be able to view the official, finished version of the teaser trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home much sooner than anticipated.

On December 17, 2021, Spider-Man: No Way Home will be released.

The purported leak was examined by The Hollywood Reporter, and its contents seemed to be genuine. No details, however, will be revealed. When one video was banned, another was posted on Twitter, giving the studio the appearance of being in a whack-a-mole scenario.
